Tuna are one of the most desirable fish to eat and to catch for fun. Ways for Tuna to reproduce vary but it is mainly an external type of reproduction. Tuna start off as a sperm and an egg trying to come together when they do come together they start off as plankton who get carried around by the current. The eggs hatch around 4 days into larvae and just eat the oil in the egg. Tuna tend to live in the thermocline because they feed off the sunlight. This helps them because more prey live in this area and they do not have to rely on a single food source. This helps them before they are fully developed and just larvae because tiny organisms live their and that is what they feed on. Tuna travel long distances over their life time. Throughout their lives they normally stay in shallow warm waters and shoal for most of their lives.
